Effect Mechanism and Performance Evaluation of Flange Contact Thermal Resistance in an Aero-Engine

According to the discontinuous structural characteristics of a gas turbine, by considering contact thermal resistance rough surface, measurement experiment was conducted in this study. The main objectives work were investigate influence mechanism and change law on flange installation. Furthermore, study theoretical analysis calculation typical mounting edge based actual operating conditions. research results show that increases with an increase clearance under different tightening torques, which is essentially proportional clearance. As increases, unit conductivity firstly decreases rapidly. Then, as reaches 0.4 mm, decreasing rate tends flatten. In addition, torque clearances. area ratio not related material, working conditions can be calculated using area.
